Gooden's Nomad Bee (Nomada goodeniana), Linslade Woods, 30 April 2021. Nomad Bees are like Cuckoos - they lay their eggs in the nests of other bees (like the Chocolate Mining Bee below) and their larvae destroy their host's egg and eat their pollen. |

This Large Garden Bumble-bee (Bombus ruderatus) was feeding on a Dandelion in Linslade Woods on 19 April 2021. It is a queen of the almost entirely black "perniger" form; Large Garden Bumble-bees are usually stripey. |
