Creatures found while cleaning out our garden pond - 2. Freshwater leech: Alwins Field, 12 February 2019. It has suckers at both ends and can stretch to about 50mm long. It is a kind of worm that feeds on other pond creatures but its jaws cannot pierce human skin. |
