	A bee-fly in All Saints Church, 21 April 2018. That long proboscis looks as if it might hurt, but it's only used to probe flowers, so no danger at all. It's actually a fly that looks like a bee, but the two-tone wings are a give-away.
	A hoverfly (one of the Syrphini) in All Saints Church, 21 April 2018. It looks a bit like a wasp but it has no sting. In fact it does a lot of good, pollinating flowers, and its larvae eat aphids.

	A stone centipede (Lithobius forficatus) in our garden. There are many different species of centipede - this one is mature and has its full complement of 15 pairs of legs, while immature ones have fewer legs. Other species of centipede can have up to 83 pairs of legs.  Alwins Field, 13 April 2018.

	It's been very wet recently and now the temperature has gone up there are plenty of snails about. This one is probably a brown-lipped snail (Cepaea nemoralis) in our garden, Alwins Field, 3 April 2018.
