Common toad

Feral pigeon

Treecreeper
A treecreeper at Tiddenfoot Waterside Park, 4 February 2017.
Treecreepers are small birds - their body the size of a wren's - but they have a long tail that helps them to balance when climbing trees.

Great crested grebe
This great crested grebe was quite careful with the fairly large perch that it had caught.  The perch has a sharp, spiny dorsal fin that is splayed out in this photo and could cause the bird serious injury.
Tiddenfoot WP, 4 February 2017.
