	A common toad being "rescued" by the Toad Patrol at Heath and Reach on 22 February 2017.  The Toad Patrol was started in 2013 and several hundred toads, frogs and newts have been helped to cross a busy road each year.

	A treecreeper at Tiddenfoot Waterside Park, 4 February 2017. Treecreepers are small birds - their body the size of a wren's - but they have a long tail that helps them to balance when climbing trees.
	This great crested grebe was quite careful with the fairly large perch that it had caught.  The perch has a sharp, spiny dorsal fin that is splayed out in this photo and could cause the bird serious injury. Tiddenfoot WP, 4 February 2017.
