Great northern diver (loon)
Juvenile great northern diver (called great northern loon in the latest name changes) at Grovebury Quarry, 25 November 2016.  This is quite a rare bird in Bedfordshire.  The picture quality is not good as the public footpath is a long way from the lake.

Green woodpecker
This male green woodpecker was happily eating ants in our Alwins Field garden for twenty minutes, 7 November 2016.
